Meet the winners of Amandus Blikkfang 2026

On Saturday evening, the awards for Amandus Blikkfang 2026 were presented. The film jury, the pitch jury, the youth jury and the audience each chose their winners. Here are all the award winners, honourable mentions and the juries’ statements.

The juries

Film jury: Johanne Svendsen Rognlien (head of programming, Oslo Pix), Stian Skjelstad (film producer) and Frøydis Fossli Moe (film director)

Pitch jury: Nina Barbosa Blad, Ingrid Runde Saxegaard and Nicholas Sando

Youth jury: Andrine Harildstad Elvestad, Anna Skinnehaugen Gjøra, Annika Brenn, Helle Knutsen Løvik, Ive Fremstad, Johanne Bastviken Træthaug and Sofie Bryhn

HONOURABLE MENTION, SCREENPLAY: Smooth summer

Sometimes the best screenplay is the one that dares to say a lot with few words. We appreciate the naturalistic, everyday tone of the dialogue, which depicts a small but life-changing situation on a warm summer’s day. Through the main character, we get a glimpse of how hard it can be to be a role model, and how small actions can have lasting effects.

HONOURABLE MENTION, SCREENPLAY: To blush

This film impressed us with its somewhat introverted expression and its honest approach to the story and the screenplay. It is playful, refreshing and particularly aware of its own form. It captivates us, and we hope to see more like this from this filmmaker in the future.

BEST SCREENPLAY: FASTEST FUCKING CAR

This film won us over by presenting a simple idea in a unique way. The writer masterfully draws several distinctive characters with charm, recognisability and surprising twists. The film defies our expectations of who these characters are, creating a moving story about friendship – all seen through one actor’s brilliant performance.

HONOURABLE MENTION, DIRECTING: KRADSER

This honourable mention goes to a well-rounded film. It has a clear idea, it is well acted, and we are charmed by its world and its characters. We feel every detail and sense the director’s command of the film, from the actors’ performances to the precise editing.

BEST DIRECTING: Sister of mine

The winning film is understated but precise. The director has chosen to focus on the more cinematic tools, and the visuals elevate the entire story. It shows strong craftsmanship across every department and an impressive achievement from two young actors. All in all, a directorial voice we hope and believe we will see more of in the future.

JURY CRAFT AWARD (ART DIRECTION): SERVICE BUS

We were particularly impressed by this film’s visual expression. Its playful style supports the film’s sharp, concise and funny storytelling well. Through its varied and formally mixed expression, this craft elevates the film into a funny and unique story.

PITCH COMPETITION: SOPHIA ARONSEN – «SELVPORTRETT»

The winner of the 2026 Pitch Competition had an engaging presence, and you get the feeling that they truly know their project. It is a project that shows humour and grief can belong together, and not least, one that questions art as a form of therapy.

YOUTH JURY AWARD: To dream it first

We think the film had a good screenplay, nice shots, good sound, and good, lovely storytelling. What caught our attention most was the combination of humour, love, reality and fiction. The film stood out in a positive way with a new concept that made us want to see more. We think the film’s theme is relevant to society in how it portrays the importance of dreaming in a dull and grey world. The film brought this out through its use of colour and split screen.

HONOURABLE MENTION, BEST BLIKKFANG FILM: MAJOR BAG ALERT

There is something magical about a film that manages to create its own little universe. This film has captured the spirit of the times. With its strong achievements across every department, it could have won many craft awards, but the film as a whole lifts it here. The film portrays recognisable characters and class divides, and captures a group of friends’ willingness to fight for each other – and for a bag.

BEST BLIKKFANG FILM: 28 DAYS LEFT

This film won us over for several reasons. It has a nerve, with something constantly bubbling under the surface. It has a very strong starting point for a drama, with powerful visual storytelling and a director who delivers in the lead role. It is close and distant at the same time, and it makes us think: about family, about war and about what really matters.
